I took my car to the Nissan dealer because sometimes when I am stopped with my foot on the brake the engine will start to accelerate trying to overcome the brake. The only thing I can do to stop this is turn off the engine. This has happened 4 times in the last month and not before. The dealer was unable to find anything wrong and could not duplicate this action. I have now been referred to Nissan consumer Affairs, Bureau of Automobile Repair, New Motor Vehicle Board and now your agency, I feel that this vehicle to drive because it could cause damage to me, my car and the the public. The last time this occurred I was stopped coming out of shopping center waiting for the traffic to clear when the car started accelerating which would have pushed me into the oncoming traffic. Hopefully, you'll be able to help me as now of the above mentioned agencies have been able to help. The only date I can give you for certain was 12/23/2024

I HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE Forward Collision Warning on this car since i have had it new. It has been to the local dealer and still has not been fixed. The problem is when it get colder 35 to 50 degrees F out site it will stop working for about 30 to 45 min then start working again for 45 min to an hour then stop working again. during the time it does not work the speed control stops working and forward collision sensors do not work. I have reported this to the local dealer and it has been in the shop over 5 times about this. I was told it is a software problem.

while driving on the expressway, the car started to slow down, a AWD error came on dashboard, driver proceeded to emergency lane, car came to complete stop and would not restart. had car towed to nissan auto service department. P26A3-00 engine coolant bypass valve was replaced. this system malfunction could have caused loss of life.

Vehicle was brought in for an oil change and service appointment at the Nissan dealership the day before and was then driven 300 miles. The following day, it was being driven at 40-50mph in residential area when suddenly the gas pedal became unresponsive and the vehicle slowed down on its own in traffic. The message appeared on the screen "Engine Malfunction, Power Reduced, Service Now" and the car would no long go faster than 12 mph. The car had to be turned off and on 4 times before the error cleared and was then able to be driven again.

Major engine problems. The engine has loud knocking noise. While driving the car it shakes badly. When the hood is open you can see the engine jumping and it-??s not properly secured. The engine can fall out causing a safety hazard and accident. Vehicle is not safe to drive. When driving the car loses speed immediately going over 55 mph.

The cruise control and safety driving system shuts off and the message -??Forward driving aids disabled. Front sensor blocked-?? comes on. This happens every few miles now. Pulling over, shutting off the engine, and restarting it resets the system, but it cuts out again. Sometimes if I just keep driving, it will reset itself in a few miles. This has been dangerous at highway speeds due to it coming on and vehicle decelerating suddenly. It's also dangerous because it shuts off the vehicle avoidance system. In a 4 hour trip it can happen up to 6 to 8 times. We've taken it to dealership, but they have not found an error message etc and said they cannot do anything about it unless the issue gets worse or a recall is created for the Lane Camera, which has had reported issues of overheating. My New 2023 Nissan Rogue encountered a warning "Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service Now" after the car was driven 4600 miles in July 28th 2023. The car did not accelerate higher than 15 miles/ hr with the warning and it was difficult to change lanes while driving the vehicle to Nissan Service at Jeff Wyler Nissan, Eastgate, Ohio - 45103. The warning light went off after the car was restarted a couple of times and the technicians at Nissan service did not find any issue. The issue again resurfaced in 02 Dec 2023, and the car was not running higher than 15 miles/hr. The warning went off after the car was restarted a couple of times. Jeff Wyler Nissan Service again did not found any issue upon inspection. Reached out to Nissan Motors Customer Service and they did'nt give any solution and asked me to report the issue to the dealer if the issue resurfaces again. My family of 3 have a single car and I feel unsafe to drive this car with a 22 month old infant. When the issue occurs it becomes very risky and unsafe to even change lanes as the car does not move more than 15 miles an hour. Both the times when this issue occurred, huge traffic jam is caused on the road, at the back of my car since the car doe not accelerate and I am subjected to frequent honking. I feel afraid if this incident happens in the Interstate highway then this can cause a life risk for me and my family.

I was parking car. Car unexpectedly accelerated, hit object in front of me & continued accelerating off road into a field until I got car into neutral. Car has not been inspected for cause. At time of accident I assumed I made an error. Danger is car was going extremely fast with no control to stop. Drive off road maybe 20 feet after hitting a manual water pump (at campsite). There were children playing in area.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where a diagnostic test was performed but the cause of the failure could not be determined. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure reoccurred while entering traffic. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer but was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 951.
