Just sitting in the driver's seat of the vehicle and the rear window exploded. Nothing touched it, nothing hit or bumped it. It just shattered. The car was parked as I had just gotten into it less than a minute prior. Only the driver's door was opened and shut for me to get into the vehicle prior to this incident. The hatch was not opened or closed directly prior to the back glass exploding. Upon doing a simple Google search, I am finding that it has happened to other people as well with these vehicles.

At 8:00 PM, driving 70 MPH on [XXX] from Dallas to Houston, Texas, multiple warning lights and messages illuminated on the dash. Other than a low fuel warning, there were no other warnings or messages at the time of the incident. The warnings and messages displayed were "AWD Error", AEB system OFF, RAB system OFF, slip indicator or VDC OFF, master warning light, and "Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service now." When this occurred, the vehicle began decelerating, and I was unable to accelerate and return to highway speeds. I was driving in the left lane and had to make my way to the shoulder on the right of the highway. Fortunately, I came to a stop approximately two miles from the [XXX] exit for Centerville, Texas. It would have been extremely dangerous to remain on the shoulder, especially after sunset, so after reading the owner's manual, I decided to travel the shoulder at the very reduced speed my vehicle allowed. After exiting to a safe location and refueling, I called 24/7 Nissan roadside assistance at 8:50 PM. I was told a tow truck would arrive around 10:20 PM, and I would receive text messages with status updates. I called three more times, at 9:32, 11:28, and 11:54 PM. I never received a text message because no towing providers were ever located and dispatched to my location. On the final call at 11:54, I was told they would try again at 8:00 AM. Centerville, Texas is a small town with a population under 1,000 people. I was left stranded nearly 150 miles from home in a non-major metropolitan city without ample resources such as uber to take me to the nearest hotel. Furthermore, had I not called back, no one from Nissan was going to inform me that I would not receive a tow. The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that she noticed that in the spare trunk compartment, a tear gas device was installed and welded into the vehicle by the FBI. The owner placed foil over the device. Additionally, a device containing sarin gas was placed in the vehicle by an unknown source. The contact stated that she had experienced a nosebleed and dizziness due to the devices, and medical attention was provided. The contact stated that an outside source deflated the tires and was able to shut down and accelerate the vehicle using a chip in the key fob, causing her to crash into the sidewalk. A police report was filed. There was no reported fire or air bag deployment. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

The 2023 Nissan Rogue we have as a lease with 9,000 miles on it. 10 minutes after driving it and going on the highway with in 1 minutes the engine abruptly started knocking and stuttering and immediate loss of motive power. Fortunately the car was in the left most lane and an exist was able to enter the exit ramp but the vehicle started sputtering and stalled and would not restart. Restart attempts resulted in engine stuttering and it the engine shutting off. We think this is the exact symptoms as described in PE23023 with these Nissan engine failures. Reporting since this should be recalled for safty and because we had a 3 year old child in the card and we fear that this could have caused risk of death by loss of motive power on the highway and if the car was in the fast or middle lanes could have resulted very high risk situation of a car with no power stuck on the highway in rush hour. I'm thankful my family is OK but this failure was a close call that could have caused a chain of accidents on the highway with possible loss of life. There were no warning indications displayed by the before the incident occurred, it was extremely sudden. After car stalled attempts to restart showed maintenance required and what appear to have been several unclear messages. battery charge was checked by tow truck and attempts to start with assisted power from additional battery made no change, the engine could not remain running it turned over and quickly sputtered and stalled and failed. The car is now at the dealership being looked at but we wanted to report this due to the severity of the issue and how it occurred, especially after reading that Nissan is aware of this particular issue as described in PE23023. I would recommend a recall as this is not a safe vehicle. Out family will no longer use this car ever again for our safety and the safety of our young child.

The car often emits a strong gasoline odor. When I enter my garage, and the doors are closed, I often smell a strong odor of gas coming from the car. On occasion I have turned on the fan for the heater and I get the odor of gasoline inside the cabin of the car. There have been no visible leaks that I can see but I am very concerned about breathing these fumes and about the risk of a fire. This issue has been going on for at least two months. I called the dealer and they advised they are aware of an issue but stated there are no recalls and nothing they can do at this time.

The "Engine Malfunction Power Reduced" light came on while I was driving on a highway during a traffic slow down in Houston, TX on September 9, 2023. After the light came on, I stepped on the accelerator and the vehicle was moving very slowly. I quickly turned on the emergency lights to alert other drivers on the highway and pulled slowly towards the right shoulder. I drove on the right shoulder very slowly even by stepping all the way on the accelerator and exited the driveway. I stopped at a nearly gas station and turned off the engine. I let the engine turned off for 3 to 5 minutes and restarted the vehicle. The "Engine Malfunction Power Reduced" went off and it drove fine after that. It could be a very dangerous situation if this was not happened during a traffic slow down. Fortunately, I was able to get out of the highway safely. This happen when the vehicle total mileage was only at about 9872 miles. I drove the vehicle back to Round Rock, TX and ordered a maintenance service at the Nissan dealership on 9/11/2023. I left the vehicle with the service department for 3 days. After 3 days, the service department told me it was the battery issue and they replaced the battery. I was told the issued was fixed. However, after about a week or two after the service, the "Engine Malfunction Power Reduced" light came on again on 9/22/2023 while starting at a parking lot. I turned off the engine for a few minutes and restarted the vehicle and the light went off. The second time this happen when the vehicle total mileage was at about 10,316 miles. The service department told me the issue was fixed but the issue appears to be still there. I will bring the vehicle back to service but I have totally lost confident in driving the vehicle.

Brand new car, picked up July 19 2023, 1st issue) July 22, 2023: 3 Days after i picked up my car, went for a long drive to Phoenix AZ from Tucson AZ. Parked in a corner mall for an hour, drove out from parking lot and we smelled strong gas odor. Checked A/C recirculation and it is set to RECIRCULATION. Drove for a couple miles and it was gone. 2nd issue) July 25, 2023. Going to work, already driven 1 and half miles away from my house. My A/C was set to 72c in Auto and on Sync, never changed it to anything else. My A/C Screen randomly shuts off and turned off the whole a/c system including fan. I it automatically resets and turned on after 1-2 seconds and it was defaulted to 75c with Sync off.
