The 2023 rogue has a known problem of smelling like fuel after driving. I have had multiple service calls. They have replaced a hose and other things. But they have failed. There is now a recall for most of these cars but my VIN number is not on the recall list even though I have experienced this problem for years at this point. The service department cannot change the necessary hose because it is not on the recall list.

This vehicle was sold by Copart with a clean title despite prior federal NMVTIS junk/salvage reporting and insurance loss. The salvage record was concealed from the buyer and not properly disclosed by the seller. There is a pattern involving Copart, Hertz, Progressive, and other companies hiding salvage data, VIN laundering, and reselling unsafe vehicles. I have extensive evidence including title copies, NMVTIS records, and photos, in a secure Drive link: [XXX]. Please investigate for safety and fraud. Oil Pan/Oil Pan Gasket damaged. Plastic oil pan with a metal bolt is due to fail anytime when replacing oil/doing an oil change. Nissan has, for about 99%, done all of my oil changes. Was told at Nissan the part was stripped, and could he a potential hazard of bolt shooting out of Pan due to pressure/heat expansion and lead to engine failure or be hazardous if vehicle was being driven. Was not even aware of this stripped bolt/broken pan until I went for a routine oil change with Nissan. This is my family vehicle and I drive my kid everywhere in this vehicle. This is a major safety concern and flaw and should be reason to reconsider and be gone with the plastic pans and have metal ones be manufactured/produced. Had to pay put of pocket for it to be replaced. Should have been covered by Nissan or be recalled immediately. This could put my family at risk if it fails and we are out driving. We do constant road trips and long distance destinations. This is concerning.

I bought the car November, 2023. Today I have 5300 miles. Two months after purchase the car while I was driving, it shifted from "D" drive to "1". I went slowly from no speed to around 30 MPH when I heard a roaring noise and saw that the car down shifted. I stopped immediately (no cars behind me). Went to dealership which had no idea of what happened. No one else reported anything like my experience at the dealership Service Department. Happened twice over a couple of months which I did not go back to dealership. I believe it was on April 26, 2025, it happened twice the same day. I slowly went from being stopped and within 100 feet it went to "1". Back to dealership so they made a record. May 17, 2025, I was stopped on a slight incline. I was in "R", With foot on brake I switched to "D". Without moving it went into "1". I happened to be looking at dash. This new. Today dealership could find nothing. In April, 2025, I checked on the computer. Several articles regarding my problem. Nissan is aware of this problem. Someone described my problem exactly and gave a price range to repair and even named the part. Do people have to die before Nissan does a recall?

The sunroof exploded while on the expressway going 75mph. At first after hearing the loud explosion, I thought it was a blowout tire. Almost got hit by two cars as I was pulling over.I took the car to the Nissan dealership and I was told I would have to leave the car there while they contact Nissan and send them pictures.

I entered the 2023 Nissan Rogue around [XXX] on St. Simons Island GA, on [XXX] with my granddaughter. Upon shutting the doors, the rear hatchback window exploded into pieces and blew out. I had not left the parking place or cranked the car. The glass pieces were all over the road and on the inside of my car. The police were called and a report was filed. How was my safety put at risk? Besides being shocked and traumatized at what sounded like a gunshot, I am now concerned about driving this car again with a new rear window because I fear it could happen again at any time. I am also suffering from a form of PTSD with super loud noise. (I jumped off my yoga mat when someone dropped a metal cup that made a very loud noise during our practice.) I asked the dealership why it happened and I called the Nissan Customer Service Center and have yet to find out why this has happened. My own research has indicated that this problem has occurred in many 2023 Nissan Rogues. The car was inspected by the police and they saw no foul play. The dealership currently has the car and is currently waiting on a new rear hatch window and it will be replaced at no cost after I strongly urged that this car was under warranty and this appears to be a defect (although the dealership doesn't agree). No -- the problem has not been reproduced at the dealership since it does not involve a mechanical part. I contacted the Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division (CPD) to try to make a Lemon Law Report and the advisor I spoke to indicated that the problem had to occur more than once. Therefore I was unsuccessful in filing that report on April 2, 2025. Since the car had not been turned on, there were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms that the rear window was about to blow out. Again, this happened all on [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

There was no incident, just routine occurrences of the following that could lead to one: 1) the wipers do not clear the upper right (passenger) side of the windshield, creating a blind spot, which is especially dangerous when turning. Photo attached, though note this is a mild instance and visibility can be much worse. 2) the rearview camera has been blacking out while the car is in reverse. The black screen lasts about a second and is becoming more common, maybe once a day. 3) the power steering goes out occasionally, which I am strong enough to deal with, but would be difficult for my children (who also drive the car) to deal with.

I believe there is an issue with the transmission. While driving, the vehicle is unable to accelerate. The engine revs high and the RPMs go really high. I have to pull over and turn off the car. When I restart, I am able to proceed, and the car acts normal. This has happened several times and has occurred in heavy traffic. This issue has happened many times over the past few months.

Just sitting in the driver's seat of the vehicle and the rear window exploded. Nothing touched it, nothing hit or bumped it. It just shattered. The car was parked as I had just gotten into it less than a minute prior. Only the driver's door was opened and shut for me to get into the vehicle prior to this incident. The hatch was not opened or closed directly prior to the back glass exploding. Upon doing a simple Google search, I am finding that it has happened to other people as well with these vehicles.

At 8:00 PM, driving 70 MPH on [XXX] from Dallas to Houston, Texas, multiple warning lights and messages illuminated on the dash. Other than a low fuel warning, there were no other warnings or messages at the time of the incident. The warnings and messages displayed were "AWD Error", AEB system OFF, RAB system OFF, slip indicator or VDC OFF, master warning light, and "Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service now." When this occurred, the vehicle began decelerating, and I was unable to accelerate and return to highway speeds. I was driving in the left lane and had to make my way to the shoulder on the right of the highway. Fortunately, I came to a stop approximately two miles from the [XXX] exit for Centerville, Texas. It would have been extremely dangerous to remain on the shoulder, especially after sunset, so after reading the owner's manual, I decided to travel the shoulder at the very reduced speed my vehicle allowed. After exiting to a safe location and refueling, I called 24/7 Nissan roadside assistance at 8:50 PM. I was told a tow truck would arrive around 10:20 PM, and I would receive text messages with status updates. I called three more times, at 9:32, 11:28, and 11:54 PM. I never received a text message because no towing providers were ever located and dispatched to my location. On the final call at 11:54, I was told they would try again at 8:00 AM. Centerville, Texas is a small town with a population under 1,000 people. I was left stranded nearly 150 miles from home in a non-major metropolitan city without ample resources such as uber to take me to the nearest hotel. Furthermore, had I not called back, no one from Nissan was going to inform me that I would not receive a tow.
