One day wanted to go for a little drive, got back to the house and parked the car. A little while later went to start up the car and it wouldn't start. Thought it was the fuel not getting to the engine so i called roadside assistance they towed the car, the next day the mechanic said well duh you didn't have any gas in your car. What are you talking about the tank says its over half-full. Well he had no answer for me just that the car was out of gas and thats why it did that. Well from then on when we would fill up the car it would go all the way up to F(full) and it would move down as it lost gas but at about the just above halfway point it wouldnt move any further. My mechanic couldn't fix this so he said we had to live with it. It was a real big pain, always filling up to make sure you never ever ran out.
