The heat shield over the catalytic converter rusted prematurely and fell off. The dealers claimed this part was not essential and no repairs were made. Still concerned me. I also have had an unusual history of electrical related problems, to wit: (1) power window switch replaced twice; (2) instrument light switch; (3) fan switch; (4) alternator, (5) both engine cooling fans. I think there is a primary electrical problem causing all of these failures from the time I got the car, but the dealer says they must be coincidence. I never received any notification for the recalls involving the antilock breaks that I have or the front springs. I have always had one problem with antilock breaks that they have never been able to diagnose. When driving on ice, if I become stuck and the wheels spin any, then the antilock break light comes on and will not go out unless I shut off the motor and restart the engine. Engine started cutting off when A/C ran. The vehicle stalls out at stop signs and takes a while to start back up, kills the battery. Dealer contacted again and stated the alternator is no good.
