Sentra GXE 1.8L

After fixing the Control Board with new coil with fuse inside, the OBD showed Crankshaft Position sensor malfunctioned. The Crankshaft Position Sensor was removed and cleaned, and fixed, $315.00. The engine cannot start after many cranks. What is the problem?
