Sentra S 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 108,000 miles

I have replaced multiple batteries, the starter, even cables within under the hood (Hence the $1000+ price tag) and still to this day this vehicle tends 9/10 times to take two cranks to start. When the starter was replaced, this 'feature' went away for about three months but came back just as bad after. This vehicle for whatever reason simply doesn't like to get going on the first attempt.

Sentra 1.8L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 149,000 miles

Bought the car used, it's really been a great little car, zippy, mileage not too bad, no real serious problems. A/C doesn't have a whole lotta oomph when it's really hot outside, heater very good. Comfortable driving, but when getting out (I'm 5'7") it's a twisty turny type thing, like trying to get up out of a tub...sits low to the ground, is absolute crap in more than a few inches of snow. Great on decent roads, highways, around town and did a trip to TX and back to TN without a hitch. Has been very reliable. The double cranking is aggravating, but have learned to live with it. All in all it's been a sound little car, durable, hasn't been expensive on upkeep.

A constant problem and seems to be common with others who have the same vehicle.
