The contact owns a 2004 Nissan Sentra. He made three attempts to start the vehicle and was unsuccessful. The manufacturer advised the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer repaired the fuel pump as identified in the technical service bulletin. The failure mileage was 35900 and the current mileage was 36300. Updated 6/25/08 the fuel pump was repaired due to low fuel pressure. Updated 06/25/08.

Experienced delay in starting. Engine took forever to turnover. Diagnostic details revealed nothing wrong, in fact the car would start normally whenever the dealer tried. Problem continued and after two trips to the dealership--they refused to believe that there was a problem--I was told to leave it overnight. They finally experienced the problem themselves. They pin-pointed the problem--the fuel pump was faulty. It was replaced under warranty and problem ceased.
