Had some routine maintenance done on my Sentra and a couple days later my service engine light came on. Turns out that after this maintenance was done, my thermostat, mass air flow sensor and my O2 sensors went out all at one. Got those fixed and my engine light keeps coming on, went back to the mechanic and was told that my fuel pump was going bad. got that fixed and a couple days later, same thing.. now its the catalytic converter. I've dumped almost $2,500 and my service light still keeps coming on. My car has been checked out by 4 different mechanics including a Nissan dealership!! Nobody can figure out why my "service engine soon" keeps coming on.

Me and My girlfriend both have 2 Nissan Sentra's 2005 . both of our cars the check engine lights keeps coming on.
My mechanic said that the mother board computer was bad the first time I took it to him. so I had it replaced and it cost me $850.00 to replace it.
Then about 7 months later it start coming on again. My mechanic said that almost every Sentra 2004-07 that he did an inspection on had the same problem. He said that the rear light is very close to the sensor and it triggers the check engine light to keep going on.

After taking the vehicle to the dealer to do 2 recalls and diagnose another concern a car started sounding loud. I was actually pumping gas at a gas station and a guy came up to me asking if I knew I had an exhaust leak. Now I have an "engine service soon" light on, calling for air sensor, most likely caused by the exhaust leak....
