The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact his vehicle was not included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 05V269000. The vehicle was not serviced. The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Sentra. When fueling the gas tank, excess fuel spills onto the ground. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. The dealer was contacted in reference to recall# 05V269000 ((fuel system, gasoline:storage). Since his vehicle identification number was excluded from the recall he would have to pay $400 for a remedy. No repairs were made. The failure mileage was 70,000. The current mileage was unavailable.
