Ar bags made by takata. Never fixed on recall. Represent damge to driver to kill them. Humidity can cause danger to drife to kill them. Never recalled by Nissan NJ is the most humid state.

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Sentra. Upon entering the vehicle, the contact observed that the steering wheel was cracked and the air bag was ejected. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15V287000 (air bags). The failure mileage was unknown.

In addition, the steering wheel seized. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who diagnosed that the head gasket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired.
