I have been to two different Nissan dealers who tell me my car is fine. Still, when I attempt to shift into 1st gear or Reverse, the car often does not fully disengage the clutch, even when the pedal is pushed to the floor. The pedal tension is fine and I have to say, this does not happen every time. However it happens often, nearly every time I drive my car. It nearly caused an accident once when the clutch would not disengage to let me shift from 1st gear into Neutral. I was on a hill in heavy traffic and the car would propel forward when I left off the brake EVEN THOUGH the clutch was on the FLOOR. Only when the vehicle would stall could I change gears, but once restarted, it was the same problem. Ironically, just as it propelled forward with the clutch pedal on the floor, it has also stalled with the clutch depressed completely to the floor. There are no visible leaks of fluid and no obvious points where the hydraulics are sucking in air. This problem has left me sitting still at intersections with thoroughly irate motorists yelling expletives at me to move. It has prevented me from parking in parking lots and forced me to start and stall in bumper-to-bumper traffic more times than I want to count. HOW CAN THIS BE NORMAL NISSAN???? It should be noted that this vehicle worked F-I-N-E until I had it serviced for a recall notice and the dealership replaced the Master Brake Cylinder. That same day, this started. Nissan says their work was perfect but I still believe they are responsible for the problem. Oh, and for those of you who own this horrible car, don't let the mechanics push you around and tell you that you don't know what you are talking about. This model DOES in FACT have a common reservoir for brake AND clutch fluid. No other car known to man is built this way, but some reason the geniuses at Nissan designed this flawed vehicle as having a common reservoir. Go figure.
