Sometime in April 2019 all of a sudden all the buttons switches in the steering wheel including cruise control; radio volume radio stations; the horn all stopped working without notice, also the air bag light began flashing. I asked the mechanic about that and he said lot if Nissan have that problem. He said I might need to get the combination switch?

Transmission; I have had to change the cvt transmission on my Nissan Sentra twice in the space of a year. Before the last change I suffered a transmission leak that entailed me adding fluid when a whining noise starts. Steering; power steering is hard and does not move with ease unlike other cars I have driven. Speedometer; speed is inaccurate. I got speeding tickets because my speedometer did not accurately depict my speed. It was wrong and off by ~5 mph when speed started to exceed 20mph

I had just finished washing my vehicle when I pulled out into traffic and could not drive my car at regular speed I had my foot all the way on the gas pedal and could not even get up to 5 mph. Traffic was coming and I had to put on my four way blinkers so I would not be hit. I made it over to a parking lot and ran it around for a few minutes until it finally kicked in so I could get back into traffic.. at that moment I had my 3 year old grandson onboard and I was trying not to panic.... I recently purchased this vehicle from a friend.

While driving on a city street, my 2007 Nissan Sentra lost power three times. All warning signal lights illuminated on the dash each time. I put the car in park and restarted the engine and all warning lights on the dash disappeared. The vehicle drove fine for about another mile or so until it cut off again. I researched this issue and it looks to be a known issue related to the throttle body unit failure repairpal.com/check-engine-lightloss-of-power-due-to-throttle-body-unit-failure-441.

My car transmission is under warranty but dealership would not fix it, they say purple fluid is not Nissan certified but I have proof that transmission fluid was never changed, it seems coolant has contaminated the transmission fluid.

In November I was driving on the highway for 30 minutes, next thing I know is that I have no power in the engine. The car would not go higher than 20 miles and the revolutions on the motor were as high as 5,000rpm. I lost control of the car because I could not accelerate and I could not stop the car because the brakes were very hard and unresponsive. I could not move the car, it felt like the car had the brake pedal push all the way with emergency brake, I tried to accelerate but it did not move. Had to tow the car to the Nissan dealer service department. After 1 week, the service guys told me the problem was the outpeed speed sensor. After 3 days of using the repaired car, the car did the same thing only this time I almost crashed with another car because I lost control of the car again and the car almost got on fire. From the engine compartment you could see smoke coming out. Had to tow the car again to the Nissan dealer service department with no result because they could not replicate problem. The car did the same to me 2 more times and this time the dealer decided to replace the cvt transmission which I have read they have a lot of problems and because of that Nissan extended the warranty to 10 year 120K miles. After the transmission was replaced I used the car for about 1 month and the car in February did the same again. No engine power, unresponsive brakes, high RPM and smoke coming out from the engine compartment. Until when will I have to deal with this problem"?? when will Nissan correct or recall these transmissions, when a life is lost? I took the car more than 4 times before they decided to replace and fix the problem. I'm going back again to Nissan, how many times will this time will be" I have lost more than 3 months with this issue and still the car is not working. Nissan does not have a safety recall and don't seem to take seriously the problem.

The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Sentra. While accelerating from a stop, the vehicle accelerated at a high speed on its own. The vehicle struck a fence, crashed into and removed the side rear of another vehicle, and drove over a sidewalk. None of the air bags deployed and there were no injuries. The contact pumped the brakes, but nothing happened. The vehicle began to slow down and the contact turned off the engine and engaged the parking brake. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an auto body shop. The insurance company diagnosed the vehicle. The dealer stated that they never heard of this type of failure and was very interested in the matter because they want their products to be safe. There are no recalls for this vehicle; however, NHTSA campaign id number 08V311000 (service brakes, hydraulic:foundation components:master cylinder) was referenced. The vehicle is currently at the auto body shop. The dealer stated that Nissan will not get involved with inspecting the vehicle. Both side mirrors were removed, the widnshield was damaged, and the front fender was hanging. The failure and current mileages were 25,000.

My son bought a 2007 Nissan Sentra S on July 27, 2007. This vehicle has broke down on 08/03/07, 08/07/07, 08/10/00 and as of today it is still at a Nissan dealer. The problem with this vehicle is that three times the while driving along for no reason it the car speed drops to 5 mph. The first time it happened was at development and no other traffic. When this happened the car would only go 5 mph. No faster. The second time this happened my son had two clients in the car and was able to get off the highway. The third time this happened my son and I were returning home. We were traveling up a two lane road with many vehicles going both ways, as we got half way up the hill this happened again. We had no place to pull off and almost go hit from behind. Thank god the driver was able to get around us. We had to put the 4 ways on and was only able to go 5 mph to the top of the hill. Still with no place to pull off the road I told my son to drift the car down the hill into our home town. My son drives this car on interstate highways every day to go to work if this happens on that highway while everyone is going 65 mph he is not going to time to get off the road. I have contacted Nissan and complained and they told me they will fix the problem that was the second time it broke down. I fell this car is unsafe to be on any highway.
