This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Nissan dealer.
Got my first set of hubcaps replaced under warranty because of finishing peeling off. Well, not long after getting my second set the story repeats itself again. Only this time the car is out of warranty so, again, not much I can do, just driving around my 2008 Sentra with those ugly looking peeled off hubcaps until I find a new set at an affordable price or maybe, repaint them with a better quality paint than the one Nissan used to get their poorly job done.It is disappointing to see your car looking so ugly because a company refuses to get the job done right the first time, and even the second time.I avoid looking at my car hubcaps as much as possible cause it only makes me feel I was taken for a ride the time I bought this brand new car, and the ride hasn't been too pleasant since.

This is a great car, never had any problems other than having to replace the battery once and the irritating sound the engine has in slow gear (I read it's characteristic to this engine), but the wheel covers peeling off and the rust on the wheels are really an annoyance. It's mostly the only car model I see with the wheels peeling like that, so it's obviously something that Nissan should be recalling for. I saw someone complaining on this site about the same thing and thinking it was related to Florida highways, but I have lived in Connecticut for all the life of this car and thinking it could be related to products used to treat roads due to freezing temperatures and snow, but then other brands and models would be having the same issue and I don't see that happening. And in FL there's no snow, so Nissan, a recall is due.
