The fuse for the low beam 15 amp the driver side started to blow replaced one time, light would work after approx 2 days blew up again, replaced and started to burn a wire from the wires under the fuse box under the hood. I cannot pin point where the wire is burning and now the light is very dim and high beam is not working either, before only the low beam was the problem and I'm afraid it will catch fire. The car did not get wet as the car was parked for about three weeks after the first fuse replacement. The car was not moving as I was replacing the fuse.

Subject: Drivers are misled by the newer illuminated dashboards to think their headlights are on several times, I drove during the night and I was misled by the brightly lit dashboard into believing that my headlights are on. In fact, they were off. This is a problem that many other drivers report with all the newer cars that must have an illuminated dashboard during the day. Please see a detailed description in this article: jalopnik.com/how-led-daytime-running-lights-and-lcd-instruments-are-1782654483 also see the hundreds of user comments on this subject. What is needed? new rules on how to prevent drivers driving their cars during dark with the lights off. A study is needed to find the right fix for this problem and issue new mandatory guidelines to vehicle manufacturers. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed as soon as possible and prevent more cars to be manufactured with this flaw. Accidents do happen if cars are have thier lights off during th night.
