Sentra S 2.0L

The engine has been ticking for a few months now. Being old school my first thought is the pistons knocking. The motor isn't locked up and the oil is clean (no debris or h2o). Now the ticking is knocking ....it's crazy this car isn't old and we bought it brand new...I am sure I'll end up replacing the entire small block...So my son now drives my old suv and momma is driving daddy's big truck...MAJOR inconvenience.

I will never buy another Nissan again. EVER! We have had numerous issues with this lil go-cart....I love the car but hate the entire engine..it's a p.o.s...I'm a single mom working two jobs and my son goes top college full time and works two jobs as well. No one has time or money to dump in a new vehicle. So we have to play musical vehicles because the car is shot to hell. I wish it was totaled at least I'd get something out of it.

I just bought the car, which of course it was used. I noticed the knock and took it into service dept.. I was told that they were having this complaint on a regular basis, and that they were told to tell people it was normal!!! Knowing that it isn't normal Nissan is only wanting to replace the small block on the engine!! This makes NO Sense what so ever!! Whose to say that all the parts of the engine will match up? Why not replace the whole engine?? Then on top of this problem, I was told that Nissan would not add a new warranty for the NEW Small Block!!!! The warranty starts right where the mileage is on the car at the time the small block is put in!!!!!! I'm just so clueless on what to do at this time. I feel that if you are going to put in a small block and have to pay for the labor of the hours to do this , why not put a new engine in save money , and start the warranty over for the new engine!!!!! The mileage on the car is with the "old small block or large block" !!
