Sentra SR

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

There is a rumbling noise upon acceleration, especially noticeable upon a cold start. There was a check engine code for a defective oxygen sensor but nothing was done about it. Annoying at most. I am worried it will evolve into a more serious defect in the engine. Otherwise running fine.

Have only had the vehicle about a month or so. It is pretty annoying that I already am hearing funny noises. We have called to report the noise and they laughed and told us to bring it back which I will be doing as soon as I get the time.

I bought a Nissan Sentra a few weeks ago and its brand new so I do understand how there is a issue yet. Every time since the day I bough it the car makes a annoying noise when it is in motion after started. Almost like there is a problem with fuel going through it or the exhaust. I had a car that was 94 that did that but it was a exhaust leak. There was one other person I found on here with the same issue. Its a rumble from the passenger side. Almost like when there are bubbles in water. It is only after the car is started and moved at a low RPM till it goes up to second. If anyone can help please do. I'm going back to the dealer this weekend because it has a lifetime warranty on it. Plus there is no recall on this issue that I can find yet..Help!
