Paint on some of the surfaces is thinner than paper and doesn't look like it bonded to the primer properly. Barely brushing a suitcase up against the bumper cover took off bits and flakes. Moreover, you can flake off the paint easily with a fingernail and another chip came off on the door panel. Since it's a leased car this is something that concerns me, as I wouldn't be happy getting fined for shoddy work from the factory. I have since touched up the existing spots, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see more bits flake off. The car was only 2 months old when this started. I'll be using an excellent paint sealer - Wolfgang Deep Paint Gloss Sealer 3 - and probably some synthetic wax too in order to prevent further damage. I have a Chevy Cruze that had a ding from what was most likely a shopping cart and I can see that the paint is many times thicker than the Sentra. Not happy about this but the car has otherwise been fine for the first 3 months.
