Sentra

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,000 miles

Car had a CVT reprogram recall for over a year and I was never contacted. Just recently the car starting making a whining noise and stopped in traffic. Come to find out the transmission fluid is not flowing do to the CVT not being updated. Was told that my car would not be covered under my extended warranty and I had to pay $4500 for a new transmission and $244 for towing.

Sentra SV 1.8L

  • CVT transmission
  • 74,000 miles

I start to notice a low noise coming out from the transmission at 70 K miles, when the car reach 74k miles the noise become louder. We took the car to the dealer for inspection and sure enough the transmission needs to be replaced and the cost is $3,900.00 for a rebuilt transmission from the same dealer. Obviously the manufacture warranty is 64k miles, which is expired. DO NOT BUY NISSAN CARS! I called to the manufacture to complain and of course they stick to their guns, this is the expectancy life of the transmission, this is the answer that I received from Nissan Factory.. Do you think that this is a reliable car?

In less than two years the transmission went out and I still have 48 payments to go..... F&^%&^$^%$&%%^ NISSAN!............
