This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Nissan dealer.
Problem started with whinning then jumping then grew worse as time went on , i replaced the transmission with one that was 2 years younger. It was fine for a couple of weeks and then the new tranny started doing the same thing as the one i replaced. Nissan has done nothing to take care of this problem . The car is nice the transmission sucks Nissan has to do the right thing and recall these trannys and fix them.

Nissan are supposed to be considered "reliable". I'm an educator that doesn't make a lot of money working with children with Autism. The amount to repair this car is unreasonable considering it's a Sentra. This has created a SEVERE hardship. SHAME ON YOU NISSAN!! ...SHOW SOME INTEGRITY!!!. Repairs are estimated at $3400 to replace the CVT transmission. I'm not looking for money. I'm just wanting my car fixed. I gave up my Honda Hybrid for this.

I bought this car 2 years ago and right after my extended warranty ended the transmission starts acting up. The car drives but it jerks and gets stuck in gear and I was told it was not good to drive the car this way. Luckily I have a second car that I can rely on (BMW). I only bought this car to make extra cash as a Lyft and Uber driver to fund my vacations.
Since this happened the car has been parked since and I am paying for a car I cannot even use at this time. I'm just so pissed off that the transmission went out so quickly and of course I still owe so much on this car. I feel so ripped off by this car and the fact that I can't use it anymore. I honestly don't want to pay for it anymore and I procrastinate in paying the loan and sometimes I think it's better that they come and pick up the car and call it a loss.
Unfortunately, the responsible person in me looks at the negative impact on my credit so I keep on paying for a car that is just sitting in the driveway collecting dust. It will roughly cost me 3K to fix the transmission and because money is tight right now it is not a priority. I can tell you that once I do fix it I'm not keeping it for much longer and it will be someone else's problem to deal with, after all that seems to be what the maker is doing so why can't I. I don't think I will ever buy or recommend anyone buying a Nissan product for this reason alone.
To anyone considering looking to buy this vehicle look elsewhere and save yourself a headache and some cash. I'd probably consider sticking to Toyota or Honda which I've owned both and never had issues like this.

I bought a new 2014 Nissan Sentra on June 2014, I have been having problems ever since... The transmission started slipping randomly at different times, shaking when I was coming to a stop. I got the Transmission replaced, now the car Jerks when I accelerate, whines when the transmission shifts, stays accelerated even when I take my foot off the gas. The dealership says nothing is wrong with it since the check engine light is not on. I am so unhappy dealing with a new 2014 Nissan Sentra and having the car for about a month before even giving my first car payment and already having the Transmission replaced and still experiencing problems, it's an investment I really regret.

When I bought my Nissan Sentra no one told me anything about transmission problems... the problem was there since I got the car but they said that the transmission on this car - sometime it make noise but sometimes not.
Update from Jul 28, 2020: How can I sue the Nissan company for selling cars with transmission that does not work? I lost my 16K that I pay for this car... it's parked in my driveway because I don't have $3000 to replace the transmission
please call me.
Thank you
