Sentra SV

  • Automatic transmission

Check engine light went on. Had diagnostic run and it said bad mass air flow sensor. Had sensor replaced by my friend, a local mechanic. About 2 months later, the check engine light is on again and it says it is the mass air flow sensor again. -- I keep reading that is a complaint that Nissan is well aware of but has not issued a recall. I'm getting pretty irritated. We purchased car used with about 25,000 miles. During the warranty period, the car stranded my daughter at 10:00 at night as the alternator went bad, had to tow the car and had alternator replaced by the dealer. So, this is the 3rd occurrence with this car in a little over a year. Doubt I will buy another Nissan, although I have owned several others in the past without any real issues. NISSAN? ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?
