Upon going to a automatic car wash with an undercarriage wash and high pressure water, and getting back onto the road, you will find that your transmission losses power after 20 minutes of driving and after drying out it goes back to Normal. Having an loan on the car it is a pain in the ass. But I have a fear that it is either unprotected wires or the transmission.

Around the first of the year 2023, I began to notice a hesitation in acceleration after slowing down or after a complete stop. I explained this to the mechanic I use, and he suggested I service the transmission. A friend stated there was a recall. I contacted Nissan and was told there was a extended warranty for this problem and to go to a dealership for an inspection. First of all, Nissan never made me aware of this, never mailed me anything. March 9, 2023, I had the car inspected which fortunately was free. I don't experience the hesitation every time I drive so of course nothing was detected on that day and they updated my software. I was told I was well under the mileage for this warranty and if I was still experiencing the issue in a couple of weeks to bring it back.
I returned May 15, 2023, and again nothing was detected and if it worsens bring it back. My whole concern is that Nissan is aware of these faulty transmissions and did not RECALL but referring to this as an extended warranty. And owners were not properly informed. This repair is way beyond my means, I cannot afford a $5,000 repair cost. So, as I wait for the problem to worsen, I continue to accumulate more miles which will put me outside of the warranty I was never aware of any lawsuits, nor was I notified of this so-called extended warranty. I have received recall information from them for other things, but a transmission is the most expensive repair there is.
This is a safety issue big time, if I slowdown in traffic and try to accelerate and there is hesitation, this is a tragedy for me and other drivers. As of date I am still experiencing the hesitation. I just want to know why they are not replacing these transmissions if they are in fact faulty, and they are aware. I am sure there are others out there exactly where I am. Please contact me with any information or help!
