Sentra SR 1.8L

  • CVT transmission
  • 25,000 miles

The RPM's always fluctuate especially when trying to climb hills or grades. It stalls randomly while driving on highway which is pretty scary. I tried passing a slow tractor trailer, driving about 65mph at the time, pull to the left lane sped up to pass and vehicle stalled and started shaking, rpms spiked... so I just pull back and stayed behind trailer...

Sentra

  • CVT transmission
  • 116,000 miles

I purchase my 2017 Sentra brand new and thought it would at least last until 150k miles. However, I was sadly disappointed when the car quit at 116k and my local dealership said it was the transmission. The extended warranty was a waste of time since it covers the car up to 100k miles. This was my first and last Nissan ever due to the fact that I am now facing a $5k repair bill.

Sentra ES 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10 miles

I bought a 2017 Nissan Sentra new off the lot!! It only had 10 miles on it when I took possession of it and from day one the car had no power!! I have to give the car gas really hard and it revs up the moter before it will pick up speed!! I found out that it is one of the cars from Nissan that has the faulty parts in the transmission and Nissan refuses to replace the faulty part!! I was also told that the transmission will go out soon since it is doing that and with a new car I shouldn't have to replace that part and really can't afford to replace it.
