About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
When I open the hood, the hood release mechanism sticks in the open position. Closing the hood will not engage the primary lock, only the secondary latch. I need to physically reset the primary latch with a tool (screwdriver) to properly close the hood. If not completely latched the hood could open at high speeds, blocking the view and causing an accident. This vehicle has never been damaged. I have not had this problem looked at by a dealer or a mechanic as the vehicle is out of warrantee and I will most likely be charged a large amount to replace the entire release and latch mechanism to repair it.

Driving down the freeway at 65 miles an hour and the sunroof exploded/shattered. It was a slightly cloudy day with temperatures in the 40S. No objects struck the vehicle or anything. There were other cars on the freeway, but no cars near at the time of the incident. Also, no other damage other than the sunroof glass just shattered unexpectedly. No signs or idea of the cause.
