Nissan fixed a brake switch recall, and when I picked up my vehicle, the key fob did not register until I pressed it against the push to start button (like when your battery in the fob is dying). I was told it was the fob battery, so I changed it and it still didn’t work. I brought the car in and after three hours they told me they were unable to program the fob and I would need a new one. They also told me it would cost roughly $400 and that it was a coincidence that it was no longer working the day I picked my car up. I did not want to do it, but I agreed because I needed the key fob to work.
After another hour and a half, they let me know that they were unable to program the new fob. They thought it was related to the radio? I had my passenger door panel off but still could not fix it. It was getting late and they were about to close, so they asked if I could leave the car there; which I could not. I did not have a ride home, could not afford a rental, and I need transportation to work every day.
They quickly put everything back together. On the way home, I noticed that the same door speaker was cutting on and off. To this day my fob is only recognized when I press it up to the start button (there is no key hole) and my speaker is messed up. Nissan takes 0% responsibility for either problem.
