I brought my car in to the local dealer in Olympia WA for a routine oil change and inquired about a wobble when driving on the freeway. I was told that my 5 year tires (purchased less than 1 year ago$800 full set) needed replaced on the drivers side ($224) and that my car maybe out of alignment ($119). I inquired about the Sentra recalls and was told there aren-??t any. This is concerning to me and I worry that it is a safety issue to be driving. My make model and year of car fall within this recall range and is displaying signs described in as consistent with the recall yet my local dealer dismissed the possibility. I am requesting assistance with this as this is my only vehicle and needed for my employment. Please call me. Thank you. [XXX] text & messages are ok. Thank [XXX]. One day in January this year, I felt a vibration in my steering wheel. I brought my car to a tire shop for alignment and wheel balancing but the problem was unsolved. Two weeks ago when I opened the dmv renewal form, I saw that there is a recall for my 2022 Nissan Sentra. Per nhsta recall no. 23V-581, it states that the manufacturer may have installed a cheap, weak or substandard tie rods. As a result, the steering wheel may be off center and experience vibration which is exactly my problem. I brought to a dealership and they were able to replace the defective tie rods. However, the vibration in my steering wheel remains. I believe that overtime, the substandard tie rods originally installed by the manufacturer may have affected and/or damaged all other components related to steering. If they have installed the right parts then I should have be having this problem and Nissan should be liable for this matter. I called Nissan North America Consumer Affairs yesterday and the lady who has an indian accent hung up on me. I hope that nhsta could do something regarding this issue.

vehicle started making noises when turning as well as severe steering wheel vibration. there are over 230,000, 2022 sentras that have a recall on bent tie rods. they already had to warrenty a cv axel not even a year into my purchase. We purchased this 2022 sentra in 2022. The car shakes during acceleration, as well as put my familys life at risk due to the car continuously pulling itself to the right when having to take the interstate. It is available for inspection upon request. It has not been confirmed by a dealer, due to the fact they said im not on the list for recall, but am having the same exact problems as other 2022 sentras that have been recalled. They want to charge 230 dollars just for a diagnostic. No warning lamps or messages appeared. When they changed the CV axel while under warrenty, they said thats whats making the popping like noise when i turn. The noise came back and wont go away, and now im experiancing other symptoms related to the recall.

On August 21, 2024, my daughter was driving the car and was in the drive thru to get breakfast. As she turn the corner and was in the line to pick up her meal, the car wouldn-??t move. She tapped on the gas once more, upon doing so the car veered to the left ( she had no control in the steering) and the tire rod broke causing her to crash into the small cement barrier. I call the dealership where I purchased the vehicle and I was advised to contact Nissan Consumer. The vehicle is not drivable and I was advised to have it towed to a dealership, where it has been for a month now. The inspector went to the dealership over two weeks ago. I was told I would receive an a call regarding the results to determine if Nissan was at fault ( this makes no sense since there-??s an open recall and the tie rod is bent/broken). I-??ve yet to hear from Nissan Consumer with the results. I-??ve left 2 messages and no one has returned my call. The dealership is charging a daily storage fee, car/insurance payments are being made on a vehicle that-??s not in my possession. My daughter has to pay for Uber rides for her classes at the school where she has to do observations for her degree. She has to pay for grocery delivery. Additionally, my daughter is a recent kidney transplant recipient. She has doctors appointments she must attend. Without a vehicle, I have to go to a different city to pick her up, take her to the appointment and bring her back. Which means I have to take off from work ( loss wages/ or use vacation time) which I shouldn-??t have to, until this issue is rectified. I understand the protocol and we-??re not the only consumers with issue, but over a month is ridiculous.

This recall was opened a year ago! Aug 15,2023 Manufacturer Recall NumberR23B3 NHTSA Recall Number23V-581 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete, remedy not yet available Nissan, the manufacturer, has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for the vehicle in a timely manner. For something that is simple to reproduce they should have a replacement TIE ROD END now. And I cannot remove my Sentra from your list/database if I replace the part myself or my mechanic. Why is that? Since NISSAN is not able or unwilling to make a replacement, Please remove my VIN from your recall list for this item: 23V-581. Thank you.

Unresolved knock/pop sound coming from the front wheel passenger side. Dealer replaced front passenger strut, this did not resolved the issue. Apparently now the dealer is telling me it's an engine mount that will get an engineering update soon from the manufacturer.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the ongoing safety issue with the 2022 Nissan Sentra, NHTSA Recall Number 23V-581. This recall, which has been open since August 2023, poses a significant safety risk to drivers and other vehicles on the road and their passengers. What is particularly concerning is that similar issues were reported in the 2021 Nissan Sentra models, indicating that this problem has been persistent and ongoing. Despite this, no estimate for a remedy has been provided, leaving affected vehicle owners in a state of uncertainty and potential danger. Furthermore, the fact that the 2024 version of the Nissan Sentra is already in sales without any reported similar problem suggests that Nissan has found a solution for the new versions. This raises questions about why no action has been taken to address this critical safety issue in previous models. It is imperative that Nissan takes immediate action to rectify this issue for the 2022 Nissan Sentra models. Owners should not have to wait any longer for a solution, especially when the safety of themselves and others is at stake. The apparent lack of commitment by Nissan to address this issue promptly and effectively is deeply concerning and must be rectified without delay. I urge the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to request a deadline commitment by Nissan on finding a solution to provide a safety remedy as soon as possible. The safety of drivers must always be the top priority.

On [XXX] my son [XXX] took the Nissan Sentra in for service at Coggin Nissan for a routine oil change. My son told me before I made the appointment for service that he thought that some of his fluids may be low because the steering felt weird. I requested that the steering and other fluids be checked as well as the tire pressure. After the service on the Sentra was completed service we were provided with their recommendation for additional services. They listed that the all four tires were worn and needed to be replaced which I thought was odd. They also recommended an alignment and replacing the brakes pads. There was no mention of any other services being required or any mention of a recall. Before leaving I asked the gentleman at the counter if the fluids and tire pressure had been checked and he said they were and that they do a multi point inspection on all vehicles being serviced. I also mentioned to the gentleman that my son was still having problems with his battery, and it was brand new. The gentleman stated that the batteries are not made the same as they used to be and don-??t last us long. On Saturday [XXX], just a few days after having the car serviced my son [XXX] was taking his girlfriend home at around 10:30 pm and was driving on [XXX] before getting on [XXX]. He was having issues with his steering and was unable to steer, losing control but was somehow able to pull in to the parking lot of a bank. He hit a curb or something, the tire blew out and he doesn't think he hit anything else but the front bottom front piece on car was hanging and had to be removed. There was also some other damage near tire. I thank God that he hadn't gotten on the highway when this occurred otherwise this could-??ve been a lot worse and lives could have been lost. Tire rod recall. My vehicle has been vibrating and there is a knocking sound coming from under the car for over 1 year. Vehicle was inspected by Nissan dealership who notified me there was no vibration during test drive. Dealership says that the tire rod was not bent, so they could not replace the tire rod. Nissan closed the recall on my vehicle however, vibration/knocking sound continue. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs and was notified that they could not replace the tire rod and that the case for my vehicle could not be reopened even if I get a second opinion.

While driving down the highway, the steering wheel moves slightly, almost feels like I am slipping on ice. The steering wheel gives play at that movement, you have to jerk the wheel back to keep the car driving straight. I have 13, 500 miles on the car. It just started about 2 weeks ago. I called the dealer for an inspection, they tell me no recalls on car and its my imagination. I do not want to get a high invoice for them to check this out.
