rusted hole in firewall

This hole can be repaired, but it is fairly expensive. I can't blame the auto manufacturer, since I have no way of knowing if this was caused by a factory defect. I just wish previous owners would have caught this issue long ago. I have seen much worse rust on other cars, so I am counting my blessings that I can get this fixed before the entire section falls off.
