Titan ES V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 104,000 miles

I took my vehicle into the dealership where I bought it to have an oil change and tire rotation. I asked them to check the cooling system because it wasn't heating properly. They told me that I needed a new radiator because the transmission fluid was leaking into the radiator, and that there's a possibility that radiator fluid could leak into the transmission and ruin it.

I was made aware by another Nissan truck owner that these was recall on the Titan and the Frontier for that exact problem, but my Nissan dealer did not explain/tell me that.

Now I'm truly suspicious of my dealer for not informing me of that recall. Hmmm!

Titan

The Nissan brand has experienced transmission fluid leaks into the radiator in its Pathfinder and Xterra products. I have the same thing happening with a 2004 Nissan Titan. Dealer tells me it will cost $5,500 to fix this. They say Nissan has not recognized it as a problem and therefore all cost burden is mine and mine alone.
