Said the front differential is completely gone. Got it repaired yesterday, $2100....looked online and saw folks with the same issues, many folks! seems to me Nissan should own up to this being an issue with these model year trucks and correct the problem (ie recall) before its a major accident for someone. My mechanic noticed that the part number was superseded by another number, most likely meaning that Nissan knows of the issue and that's their way of "correcting" the issue. Only issue Nissan, consumers pay for the issue. Makes me want to re-think about purchasing another Nissan product, I have two presently.

There are no events leading up to the failure. The rear differential went out on my 2005 Nissan Titan, in order to repair the part, I had to buy an "entire" new rear differential (because this of course happened out of warranty). I was told the part that needed to be repaired is actually a very small part of the differential, but I had to pay $4000 to get the entire thing replaced. I would like to state that I am very very glad that this did not happen while I was driving on the freeway. I was only doing about 15 mph when it went, and it felt like I got hit by a mack truck!!!!! I have been searching the internet to see how often this is happening and it seems to be happening alot! someone should check into this before someone gets seriously injured or killed!

The rear differential has failed 3 times. Nissan refused to pay for the 3 rear end. This cost me $2,900 plus towing. There have been 6 braking failures. I have paid for the last 3 brake jobs. In one case the front brakes fell out on the ground. Nissan did not cover this this cost including the tow. To date this truck has cost me over 4000,00 and at least 60 day of down time.
