Poorly constructed exhaust manifold(s) equipped in 2004-2007 Nissan Titans crack under normal driving conditions. Nearly all Titans on the road (up until about 2008) are effected by this manufacturing defect. 2008+ Titans are said to be equipped with stronger manifolds, but those crack as well. This crack, if not taken care of, may throw error codes which will cause the engine to lean out and possibly destroy the catalytic converter. Aside from possible engine malfunction due to this crack, exhaust gases to not properly exhaust out the rear of the vehicle and subsequently exit the manifolds within the engine bay and enter into the passenger cabin. As the exhaust manifolds are attached to the catalytic converters, they can be replaced by the 8Y/80K mile federal emissions warranty. However, many dealers will not look at the manifolds to diagnose the issue until after this point. Replacing the manifolds using oem products is quite costly.

2006 Nissan Titan SE king cab 4X4 offroad bigtow. The exhaust manifolds on my Titan cracked and 3 separate Nissan dealerships in southern California wouldn't acknowledge the issue and repair under warranty. The service managers would claim that they did not or could not find the problem. These parts are covered under the 8 yr/80,000 mile long-term emission system defects warranty and my truck currently has 69, xxx miles. The 3 visits to the different dealerships span from when I got the truck in 2009 to 2011. On my own dime, I had a shop replace the exhaust manifolds and they confirmed both were cracked. I have them sitting in my garage for further proof. I'm considering making a claim w/ Nissan hq but I know it'll be in vain. There are several reports of cracked manifolds online. Maybe this warrants a recall or Nissan can press their dealers to handle this in a more professional manner.

The exhaust manifolds on my 2006 Nissan Titan have cracked, causing toxic exhaust fumes to leak into the passenger compartment. The truck has less than 100,000 miles. I believe this issue to be caused by faulty parts supplied by Nissan.

Exhaust manifolds cracking on 2006 Nissan Titan leading to excessive exhaust fumes.

Cracked exhaust manifolds (both sides) on 2006 Nissan Titan. Normal driving. Apparently, this could cause loss of power and fumes escaping from exhaust could enter the cabin and cause headache, nausea and other effects. Dealer offers 80K warranty. Truck as 75K. Dealer will replace under warranty.

Cv valves causing engine to shut down also reported motor problems at 20,000 miles and replaced motor at 50,000 and electrical and air conditioner problems with a recall on the clutch fans and now leaking fluids and overheating occurs often and occasionally transmission has difficulty shifting into drive and while in drive unable to down shift manually the features for manual shifting are not working also gauges such as brake, check engine, air pressure lights are always on no way to turn these warning lights off cigarette lighters have never worked and when engine is shut down and no key is in the ignition the gauges flick rapidly on the speedometer, fuel, tac odem, a loud clicking is heard for minutes sounding from the engine at the time the gauges flick, also the ex-cab doors are broken the locks was told the truck was on of the trucks bought from Louisiana after hurriciane katrina and was sent form norman, okla to mcalester, okla to brad fenton motors I purchased this truck in 06 with less then 400 miles and I've had a number of problems and repairs and continue to have new problems and have yet to receive a letter from the manufacture about the electrical and fan and air conditioning recalls on the 06 Nissan Titans that was recalled in August 2008 this is very upsetting and a sellsman at a Nissan dealership informed me about 500 Titans purchased very cheap all brand new vehicles said to been sent to parts of Oklahoma and these trucks were said to be fixed for water damage and any repairs needend to theses trucks these trucks were bought after being sumerged in water and minor repairs were made and then these trucks were sold as brand new without any knowledge about water damages and sold very expensive with out any discount. I am wanting to know if my Titan was purchased during hurricane katrina and what dealership it was bought from originally before it was delivered to me at the time of purchase I want to know all recalls and car fax and any reports made.
