The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that the fuel level gauge was displaying inaccurate fuel levels and caused him to run out of fuel. The low fuel warning light did not illuminate alerting him to the low fuel. The vehicle was not inspected or repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign id number: 10V074000 (fuel system, other: Storage: Fuel gauge system) but was awaiting the parts to arrive at the dealer. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 81,525 and the current mileage was 81,537.

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Titan. The fuel gauge did not display the proper fuel level immediately after gasoline was added to the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. The failure continued to occur intermittently even when gasoline wasn't added to the fuel tank. The contact received NHTSA recall campaign id number 10V074000 but had not taken to the vehicle in to be serviced. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 55,000.

The contact stated that he had experienced the failure numerous times prior to receiving the recall notice. The manufacturer verified that the parts would be available within the next three weeks. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were also not available.

The fuel indicator displayed one quarter tank of gasoline; however; the fuel tank was empty. The vehicle was manually pushed to a nearby service station where he was able to add gasoline and continue driving the vehicle. The contact confirmed that he previously received recall campaign id number 10V074000, fuel system, other: Storage: Fuel gauge system; yet, he had not had the vehicle repaired. The approximate failure and current mileages were 70,000.
