I own a 2006 Nissan Titan P/U and through the years I noticed some rust on my rear bumper. I decided to take it to the local dealership to have it check before my warranty ran out. The service manager said that it's from the rubber strip that is placed on the bumper and that when you step on it to gain access to the bed it tends to move and scratch the bumper and that is why you have rust. I told the manager I barely use the bumper so how can that be the cause. I asked if this is covered since it's the fault of the rubber strip and the way is was placed on the bumper, and his answer was no and that they would only cover it if it was rotted through. I do not have an extended warranty and by the time it does rot through my warranty would be expired. I feel this is the fault of Nissan for not using the proper material or application, so why should I pay the price for their mistakes? I hope you can direct me on how I can resolve this matter. Thank you Mr. Allen nealy
