The contact-??s friend owns a 2007 Nissan Titan. The contact stated while driving and hauling a sailboat, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop immediately and rolled to a stop. The ABS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer was able to duplicate the failure during a test drive. The dealer stated that the front-end of the vehicle was defective. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was ongoing, and the vehicle failed to immediately stop while depressing the brake pedal. The manufacturer was contacted and informed him that the statute of limitation had expired and no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.

The rear axle seals on my 2007 Nissan Titan continue to leak gear oil. I have replaced the seals three times including purchasing and replacing the entire axle shaft, seal and spacer assembly on the third time. These were 2 axle shaft assemblies which cost me over $1000. I have also installed a breather tube on the rear axle and insured it is allowing air to get in and vent the rear axle. It's been a few months after installation and the seals are leaking again. My rear brakes and parking brake are soaked with oil and the parking brake no longer holds the truck in place when parked on a incline/decline.

Metal brake line rupture and complete brake failure. The rear metal brake line crossover from the passenger side to the driver side that is attached to the rear axle just above the jackpot cover ruptured. Brake pedal went to the floor each time it was pressed without hesitation and had no braking control at all. Brake fluid was everywhere under the truck, on the drive wheels, and on the pavement causing its own hazardous condition along with no brakes. Fortunately this happened in my driveway and not while I tow my 10,000lb trailer down the highway. That would not have ended pretty.

Driving my 2007 Nissan truck down residential road approaching a stop sign when the brake light came on. I tried to stop at the stop sign and my brake pedal went straight to the floor and grinding noise came on similar to sound of ABS brakes when activated. I had no stopping power and went through the stop sign. Luckily there was no other vehicles coming as my wife and children were with me. This is definitely a serious safety concern and near miss. I've researched this when I got home and found 1,000 of other similar cases. When will the NHTSA take action and have Nissan fix the delta stroke sensor on these vehicles before someone gets killed?

I recently bought a 2007 Nissan Titan and I love the truck. I was driving along and I started smelling brakes burning, I pulled over and my rear passenger wheel was smoking. I looked on the back side and rear end dope was on the back of my wheel. The wheel seal has went out. Come to find out looks like the rear differential has been sealed up before. So, its a problem with the Nissan Titan rear end seals and differential seal. It creates a safety hazard getting on the brakes. The wheel could catch on fire.

Traveling at 10 mph the vehicle went dead. No brakes, steering. Luckily I was able to run it along a curb to stop it. Due to a crack in the exhaust manifold both O2 sensors had to be replaced as well as the mass air sensor. Running up a bill of $ $1700. All due to manufactures poor assembly.
