The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Titan. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, there was an abnormal exhaust odor in the cabin of the vehicle. The contact stated that there was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the exhaust manifold was fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 214,000.

The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. A mechanic performed diagnostic testing on the vehicle who diagnosed the issue as exhaust failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact advised that there was a recall regarding the fuel system, but the contact's VIN was excluded. The failure mileage was 165,264.
