Ever since I purchased this truck in 2017 I've had problem after problem Turbo actuator has been replaced twice and and is out again and not at cost on Nissan refused to pay for recall after it was replaced. coolant level sensor also replaced and is out yet again and have to replace reservoir also because sensor not sold seperatly EGR is leaking and out as is engine low oil light on and mechanic is beliving engine has blown up not sure cause yet until engine removed at my cost and replaced. These issues have had me in heavy traffic several times putting truck in limp mode making it unsafe for others and my self twice with grand children on board also dealer found melted wires in box harness that they wanted to replace indicated trailer wiring malfunction also a fire risk for truck.steering pump has always been sluggish since I've owned dealer refused to address it said it was working fine yet there has been issues with similar trucks.there have been several engine codes regarding coolant.EGR codes turbo codes and low oil pressure codes with good oil quantity before engine failure.I have always changed oil on this vehicle every 4000 miles fuel filters twice a year since owned have kept vehicle in best maintenance since owned.I also would like to note dealer Billion automotive is a absolute nightmare to work with all warrantee work with myself and my son who owns same truck he has had similar problems with his truck as well EGR turbo also turbo actuator DEF system replaced steering pump replaced because it fell off because of failed bolts all of these were repaired by dealer and documented as were mine

Was driving at about 40 mph with cruise control on, when my passenger and I noticed extreme vibrations and noises with. Began slowing to turn into a gas station just ahead when the clunking became so violent the front of the vehicle was bouncing. As I turned into the gas station, there was a loud bang, smoke billowed from the hood, and the engine stalled leaving me with no power steering. I turned as hard as I could to avoid gas pumps and people fueling their cars, and ended up running up a curb with no power to steer away. No warning lights came on until I came to a stop. Smoke and oil continued running from the front of my truck for several minutes. I feel fortunate to have walked away from such a violent breakdown. I am told the truck needs a new engine and transmission resulting from a broken crankshaft, and have been refused any warranty or good will assistance. I was given a quote for $37,000. Thought it was a joke, but then again this whole experience has been hard to accept as reality.

On 05-01-2020 I was driving back home on I-59 North and I lost the power steering, alternator and A/C. I continue driving because I still have mechanical steering control I get home and I noted the serpentine belt and the belt tensiometer was broken, I ordered and changed after repaired I was driving to work on 05-07-2020 and I notice the car is not working good, I check and 1 of the bolts from the steering pump adapter was broken, I take to the dealer and after a week and be talking with Nissan case number 40163453, with the car inside of the warranty they say the bolt is a hardware and is not cover by the warranty, also the dealer say is going to be expensive repair because they have to remove the radiator, I choose to do the repair by myself, I'm an aircraft inspector with 39 years' experience repairing airplanes. I fix in the best way I know, but this situation can cause a accident see attach pictures, also the adapter pump holes are little big of the diameter of the bolts with the vibration of the engine (diesel) can cause this bolts to be loose.

At 70K miles the bolts holding the power steering pump bracket to the block either sheared off or fell out on December 15, 2019. This lead to pump falling off and ripping belt apart. Belt is currently wedged in ac compressor pulley. Same issue addressed one year earlier, where one bolt was replaced under warranty.

While driving down the road, I lost all power steering in my Titan xd. After pulling over and looking under the hood the serp belt was shredded and all tangled up. After further investigation, the 3 bolts that hold the power steering pump bracket to the engine had all broken off. There were multiple other reports of this issue on the Titan xd forum. Nissan did not want to take care of the issue even though I felt this was a large safety hazard loosing power steering while driving. This truck is very hard to steer with no assist.

On Oct 7 2016 I was driving up a winding mountain canyon road at about 45 to to 50 mph I was on an inside turn when all of a sudden the truck just jumped into the oncoming traffic lane, I was able to get it under control and pulled off onto the side of the road, luckily no one was coming the other way at that time, or there would have been an accident as it jumped 3 or 4 feet into the oncoming lane. I visually inspected under what I could see of the steering and suspension saw nothing and was able to drive slowly to the nearest town but the steering was really sloppy so had it towed from there to a Nissan dealer, filed a complaint with Nissan Consumer Affairs, case #28569379. They sent engineers from the manufacturing plant then I never heard from them again.the mechanic at the dealership told me the pittman arm had come loose from the center link and they fixed it to my satisfaction but I dont believe Nissan is giving the matter the attention it deserves as my experience could easily have ended in an injury/death type of accident, had traffic been coming the other way or had I been on an outside turn there would have been a crash or possibly a long fall to the stream bed below. All the repair info can be obtained from Nissan of reno, Nevada, and once more there is a Consumer Affairs case #28569379

Bad transmission, slipping and erratic shift, at dealership 30 days still no answer about fixing it. Power steering too hard and makes noise when turning turbo is making noise. This is diesel engine with diesel exhaust fluid, not working properly, doesn't burn any def, it is requirement on all diesel engines to have this exhaust cleaner.
