About 3 days after purchasing the truck and after a heavy rainfall, I noticed there was a small water drip occurring from the top of the passenger side of the door. The leak was dripping on the seat and the arm rest by the automatic locks and power window controls.

Upon investigating, I noticed the seal was sagging at two locations by at least 1 inch and water was dripping behind the seal at the two sag points. I took it into the dealership to be fixed and told them they need to do two things to fix the problem: 1) Replace the seal and 2) adjust the door. I was told the door doesn't need to be adjusted....well after 3 times going to the dealership to get the problem fixed with no success they finally got me to take it to their body shop they use for warranty work. Once there, they adjusted the door by lifting it slightly and sucking the door tighter against the frame. Sure enough it worked...however, I need to get the seal replaced again as the dealership failed to install in correctly the first time and it will cause a small leak over time if not replaced. The seal is already sagging and it's brand new!!

The problem should be fixed once the new seal is properly installed and once the door has been adjusted to sit tighter against the seal.

For those that have this issue please request that they adjust the door from the beginning...it will save you way more headache than just doing the seal. Most times the door adjustment will fix the problem all together or close too. Obviously a new seal is required, but that is of minimal concern as long as the door seeds up against the seal properly.

Also, make sure they PRESSURE wash around the door seal after install to ensure it doesn't leak...for some reason my dealership thought it was a smart idea to just use a garden hose and let water flow over top of the door... this is not a realistic test and it will prove to be faulty. The best test is to wash your car afterwards at a car wash or go through an automatic car wash as the pressure is very high. If it can handle that and not leak, it will be good to go.

The issue is relativity minor but very rare and odd especially since I was the 2nd owner and the truck has had no reported accidents. It think it was just more of a hassle because it took me 4 times going to the dealership to fix the problem and one time at the body shop to fix.
