I am not sure what it is with the Nissan Titan's body paint, but it chips extremely easy all over the lower body. The lower bumper is going in to be sprayed with Line-X tomorrow due to the ridiculous amount of rock chips occurring to the bumper. Also, this issue is starting to present itself quite noticeably around the entire perimeter of the truck.
I would suggest having these trucks 3M, Line-x and/or install beefy mud flaps to help minimize damage. Seeing as I didn't buy brand new, I am stuck with the aftermath of others nothing doing these preventative measures. Keep in mind, on my old GMC, I only saw this kind of rock chip damage after 5-6 years of use...this truck is only 1 year old! If you read about the Infinities QX56 and 80's, you will see they have the same body/paint issues. I use these as a reference as the 2nd generation titans are build with the same body, frame, engine and transmissions as the QX80's...or at least that is what I have read.
