problem #2

Dec 312020

Titan SV 5.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,456 miles

As with other Titan SV owners, when pumping gas into the truck, I heard a whistling sound coming from the gas inlet. I feel it was air coming out when gas was going in but could cause a fire, explosion or even death if this occurs.

Fuel tank would whistle when you filled it with fuel from day one. I took it back to the dealer and described the problem. I thought a plugged tank vent or something easy. This pickup is on highway only so no dirt roads to plug up charcoal canister breathers or vent tubes. Plus it was brand frickin new. The dealers fix was a new fuel tank! It fixed it for the most part, but you still get some fuel blow back once in awhile.
