Titan S 5.6L V8 gas

  • Automatic transmission
  • 48,500 miles

I was aware of the possible issue with these engines from the 2018-2019 Nissan Titans having the dreaded cylinder 7 wear issue. I took the vehicle into Countryside Nissan (near Chicago) where I purchased the truck from (used) and they were able to duplicate the issue after 24hrs. It then took about 2 weeks to get parts and replace the engine small block. She runs really nice now. very smooth. So I assume this has been wearing out since I purchased the vehicle in May 2023. I really appreciated Nissan approving the fix in a timely manner and the dealership being professional and fast in its repair. The knock and exhaust smell were dead giveaways... usually when the truck was cold.

Update from Apr 17, 2024 This is the GAS (Non-XD) V8
