Clutch cable/clutch pedal the clutch cable is connected to the clutch pedal with plastic cap that fits over a metal post on the clutch pedal assembly. The plastic cap will chip and become disconnected from the clutch pedal and I was lucky because this happened when I was shifting from a dead stop in neutral and attempting to shift into 1st gear and not on the freeway or going down a hill.
