Well a few weeks ago my daughter took in the 2007 Nissa versa to get the oil change. All was well. A few days later the car started making a jerky type of feeling when driving and it would stall at the light. Because she is a college student an works her schedule would not allow her to come home and bring the vehicle in. We (her parents) finally had her bring the car in on a Friday since her shift was not until 700pm that evening, she attends school about and hour from home. She was on IH35 and the car began making the knocking noise more heavily and began shaking thank goodness she was able to drive on the shoulder and the car completely die. She called us to let us know what had happened. She tried to give the versa a chance to breath and see if it would restart it did only completely stall on her again. We drove out to help her out and try and tow the car ourselves since it was going to be expensive. It failed. So we ended up calling our insurance and getting a tow truck and paying $200.00 to tow it back home to San Antonio, TX. Needless to say that Friday when the car die was our final payment installment. The car had over 68K miles so even the powertrain warranty we purchased had expired. So were stuck like chuck without a running car for our daughter to use for school/work. We had to loan her one of our cars. The car is paid for but not running and cannot afford 4-5K for a new engine. It has been emotionally fustrated. Because I had to miss work to help my husband try to get the car back. My daughter was late driving back to Austin to start her shift at work. Paying tow fees and gas. I am extremely upset after reading the exact scenarios we had with this car which had been running fine up until 2-3 weeks ago. I called Nissan and they cant do anything since the warranty expired. Lovely stuck with a paid car that doesnt run. I will never buy another Nissan in my life ever....

2007 nissan Versa KAPUT on last final day of pymnt!!! Well we purchased a brand new 2007 Nissan Versa in 2007. Had no major issues except for the tire light on at times and had to take it in to the dealership to reset or once we put air in the tires if low. Well now just made the last and final payment on 11/9/12 my daughter who is using my car since she is a college student comes home and it stalls on the freeway twice. When we drove out to her location which is about an hour away from home, my husband notice it had no oil My daughter has the receipt and the bottle of oil which was changed. There was no indication as to the oil being low or something wrong. The car began making a knocking noise a few days before, she had just had the oil change on 11/1/12 and prior to this I always had the oil changes at my dealership where we purchased it. Its heart breaking and I'm extremely upset because we religiously paid this car to finally making the last payment and the darn car breaks down and now were stuck with a car that no longer runs, and is going to cost us an arm/leg to fix. We had to give our daughter my Jeep because she needed a car for school and work so were down one car. Nissan wont do anything about it since the warranty and powertrain expired at 60K miles and its over it has 68.386K miles..... So were stuck with the pretty little red card in the drive way which doesn't run and cannot fix at this present time since I will be having back/hip surgery and need to save funds while I will be out of work for 6 months. I will never ever purchase another Nissan vehicles ever. It's sad that Japanese cannot built good cars and cannot acknowledge that they screwed up when they built the Nissa Versa vehicles. There are so many complaints on so many forums online. Its just heartbreaking...... Down in the dumps in Texas nissan versa took a rod in the engine and other issues along the way....
