problem #1

I was driving down the main street in town when I suddenly heard a bang under my car. Looking ut the rearview mirror, I noticed a piece of metal bouncing on the side of the road so I stopped, backed up and retrieved a horseshoe shaped piece of metal with a very jagged edge. I was not sure if it came from my car or was something I ran over but brought it home. The next day, I took my car in for inspection and was told the spring on the passenger side of my car was broken and it was unsafe to drive and could puncture the tire. So, I took the car to the body shop (warranty expired) and was told it would cost about $400 to fix. My guy said he would order the part from the local Nissan dealer on Friday, and fix it on Tuesday (after Memorial Day weekend). Tuesday morning, my body shop guy calls to tell me that Nissan says the part is on "National Backorder" until June 13th! So, I am without my car from May 27th to at least June 13th. Nissan will do nothing to help out and my insurance will not cover a rental because the problem is not due to an accident.
