Received a letter from Nissan June 2016, in the mail, not email, stating an airbag recall. They told me 3 times over the next few months that parts were coming; as of at least February 2017 no parts had arrived. I called my dealership who I'd been going to for 5 years since I've had my car; They said they wouldn't give me a loaner car nor did another dealership I called. l called corporate and they wouldn't give me one either. I finally decided to file a complaint when Nissan Corporate wouldn't give me a loaner car. I think this was in October
/November, 2016. ( I didn't write down the date I filed the complaint, which is rare for me to not write down a date) I got a case number: #24643540. Thinking as I write, I don't know how long they kept records if they do. I was angry no one wanted to deal with this.
Nissan kept saying they would look into this for me, I have documented my end of things. I called several times and someone did get back to me telling me they were looking into it. So, skip forward, Nissan decided to buy my car back; not because of this, it didn't get mentioned at all. Lots of things had gone wrong, I had 3 batteries put in before the mileage listed on the battery said it would last for. I was one of the lucky one's-sarcasm here-to have had a new transmission put up. WHICH, by the way, they did not send out recall notices for.
Nissan Corporate said they would buy it back because of starting problems-I have the reason in an email.
So, they bought the car back in February, not ever mentioning this. I accepted the money as a settlement problems for the car.
I'd like to put myself in a class action if I can.
Please let me know.
Glad you guys are here!
Thank you,
