Versa S 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

Engine stalled while I was on highway. Towed to a local shop. They replaced the fuse for fuel regulator. ~500 miles alter again stalled on highway. Took it to dealer they mentioned that fuel pump is faulty with replacement cost ~1000. I was not expecting fuel pump to die at 78k miles. After the replacement, the car is fine for now.

Engine stall situation itself is dangerous. It cuts the electronic steering. Fortunately I was able to steer the car to highway shoulder both times it happened.

Nissan should put a recall on it. Online forums are filled with fuel pressure regulator complaints.

Versa 1.8L 4cl

I purchased a New Nissan Versa 2010 Oct. 2010, I have replaced the sway bar linkage both sides went bad, and after the warranty ran out the fuel pump stop working and checked the fuses, they were good. My payments are so high and can't afford the repairs. I am on a fixed income. 1 quote to repair was an estimate of $600.00
