Versa 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,592 miles

YOU GET IT HAPPENING OUT OF THE BLUE. NO RHYME NO REASON. YOU TURN THE KEY AND THE ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT IT FEELS LIKE NO GAS IS GETTING TO THE ENGINE. IT HAPPENS ON HOT DAYS, IT HAPPENS ON COLD DAYS, NO FREQUENCY JUST A BIG SURPRISE WHERE YOU SIT IN THE CAR AND SHIFT BACK AND FORTH TO SEE IF IT WILL CATCH AT SOME POINT, WHICH LUCKILY IT HAS. BUT IT DEFINITELY MAKES YOU HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS OF TAKING IT ON A LONG DRIVE THAT YOU MIGHT END UP STRANDED WHEN IT DECIDES TO NOT CATCH.

DEALERSHIP COULD NOT IDENTIFY IT AND CAN'T REALLY DO ANYTHING UNTIL IT HAPPENS THEY SAY. THE CAR HAS BEEN QUITE OKAY OTHER THAN LIGHT BULBS BURNING OUT WITHIN THE 3 YEARS I HAVE OWNED IT SINCE NEW. NEVER EVER HAD THAT HAPPEN ON ANY VEHICLE I EVER HAD BEFORE.

Versa 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 28,500 miles

Car is not reliable because I never know when it will start. If it sits for long periods (8 to 14 hours) it may or may not start. It will crank but not turn over.
