I had this car for less than 6 months (I believe this happened before I had my oil changed for the first time, so possibly only had car for 3 months but under 6 months for sure). I asked the service technician what would could be done? The service tech told me they would have to replace whole housing unit not just the glass covering the light bulb which would be just shy of $200. I mentioned I was worried because I drive on the highway to work everyday so if this happens again after I replace it and it appears that a rock cracked it not running into something would it be covered under warrantee. The service tech laughed and said no. I asked if there was some alternative to the glass he said no....Why the heck would I spend $200 to replace something that could and probably will break again?
