Versa 1.6L

  • CVT transmission
  • 102,000 miles

This car was running rough. Replaced plugs, several sensors, fuel body and finally fuel pump, 629 dollars. This made it run better but it wouldn't go, so dealer said he would do diagnosis on transmission, 200 dollars. Came back and said transmission was bad 2300 dollar fix. I don't have that kind of money, so I should have extended warranty 120000 or 10 years but Nissan refused to pay, so I have a piece of junk. What next?

Versa SV Sedan 1.6L 4 cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 1,500 miles

Very early on, the transmission began making grinding, springing noises upon initial acceleration around 20-30 MPH. At first it was very disconcerting because of how noticeable and unpleasant the noises are. But 15,000 miles later, it still makes the same noises under the same conditions and isn't any worse. I've grown accustomed to it. There is no sign of trouble. The car drives fine. I think it's just a characteristic of the CVT. Still, it's probably the noisiest transmission I've ever experienced in a car. Definitely needs some refinement.

Versa 1.6L

  • CVT transmission
  • 3,500 miles

A new and different car is the solution This car is a danger. Suffer at times of lack of power and you can not tell when. It's extremely noisy. The new transmission at times makes feel like is restraining itself to end up with a small exploding sound. Horrible. I regret this purchase so much. This danger I cannot give it to my kid.
