problem #1

Versa ES 4 cyl

  • Manual transmission

Car stalled (no power brakes or steering) ON THE INTERSTATE....TWICE!!! Modern Nissan of Lake Norman had my car of 10 days and gave me the run around on the issues: bad fuel pump, bad spark plugs, alleged white smoke from tail pipe (which never happened when I had it....). Corporate agreed to pay 80% of the fuel pump that the service representative told me that he was 100% sure would fix the stalling and resolve all issues with the car. Now they have called me after 10 days of "We are still running diagnostics, we aren't sure why the check engine won't go off and is reading a cylinder 3 misfire" and told me that the car needs a new engine.

Sounds like a major manufacturing defect to me that they are trying to cover up at MY EXPENSE. I will find out on Monday if Corporate is going to assist me with a percentage of the cost. The car is a 2013, with 73k miles on it. It was bought brand new from the dealership and had checkups at the dealership every 5k miles.
