I have had two major instances where the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) has caused my vehicle to lose total power. The first incident occurred around midnight one night as I was heading home. I was unable to accelerate from a stop sign and had to put the car in neutral and coast in reverse to be able to get my vehicle out of the road and along the curb. The vehicle would not start on its own. I had to have the vehicle towed and taken to a mechanic where repairs were completed. WIthin two months of these repairs, I notice the problem seems to be returning. Three times I notice the car not accelerating correctly and one instance where I tried to press the gas pedal and had no response from the car to it. Ultimately these issue led to my coming home one night around 2am and the car simply would not accelerate at all. I had to pull over and again call a tow truck. My mechanic tells me the the MAF sensor is faulty, but the company handling the extended warranty wants to see the car orior to repairs being done. However, that means I am stuck waiting almost a week before repairs can even begin. Its very nerve racking having this issue on your vehicle. Its an intermittent problem that seems to creep up whenever it feels like it, I have to drive my car for work and I often keep late hours. I dont like the idea of breaking down at night in an area I am not familiar with Having thid problem affects not only my and others safety but my overall well being and financial stability

The vehicle engine stalled while driving in motion at approximately 65 miles per hour, and occasionally would stall without warning while waiting at a traffic light stop. The vehicle occasionally would not allow for the key to turn its ignition and would remain locked unpredictably and would require extended amounts of time to lock/unlock via security key fob repeatedly to allow for the key to turn the ignition.

After I bought my 2015 Nissan Versa with VIN: [XXX[ in April 2019, the water gained entry inside the car due to heavy rain a month later. The incident has continued to occur; Unfortunately, I had kept blaming it on the height between the parking ground and the car floorboard. The design flaws on the Versa allow water to collect below the windshield. When the collected water doesn't drain, so it flows into the car on the front passenger side floor below the compartment gloves area. It causes visibility problems during rainy and winter seasons since the inside car is not completely sealed causing insulation issues. I had to buy different products to address the visibility problems. My car got flooded last May 2022 to the point I had to get a cup to get some of the water out. I started hearing a sloshing sound and quirking sound when pressing on the brake not too long and so on. I initially paid $1,200 to repair the electrical problems to a Nissan dealer and later found out the harness needed to be replaced due to water damage costing $7,200. The design flaw made my car unsafe due to the visibility problem during inclement weather. There is a blog where 2014 through 2018 Nissan Versa owners describing the same issue I have been experiencing. I am dumbfounded Nissan has never bothered to address this issue for so long; very few people have a disposable income to pay for repairs or constantly buy a new car in less than 5 years. The sad thing, I had to borrow money from my life insurance to pay the car off. I know Nissan will use the inspection defense. Please keep in mind all the cars that have been recalled before passed inspection, so it is not a valid point. Feb. 10th 2020 cvt transmission started shuddering and then broke down in valdosta georiga. Valdosta Nissan said transmission was not covered under recall from class action suit. Had transmission replaced at valdosta transmission with remanufactured Nissan transmission on Feb. 13th 2020. Drove 992 miles to jackson mich. Started having problems with newly installed transmission so bright the 201( Nissan Versa to jackson Nissan. Was informed by service manager jamie baldwin that transmission failed due to transmission cooling tube in radiator failed. Of course the radiator failure was not covered anymore from the earlier class action radiator suit. I also filed a claim with consumer affair Nissan, case #39608867. The representative (austin) I spoke with denied the claim. I've tried to reach austin (615) 725-7582 a few times to get any documentation that was used for his decision to deny this claim, but he has not returned any of my calls. I believe that Nissan has an obligation to the consumer when they have sold defective cvt transmissions and radiators.

Please tell the government or whoever is the biggest boss of car manufacturer Nissan to punish Nissan severely and extremely for making unsafe cars that puts consumer a T a severe safety risk. For their transmissions, shocks, struts, everything in the car. Ever since I got the car in October 2016 I have to bring it to the shop every 2-3 months, there is always something wrong with the car, October 2019 I had to replaced the fan, before that the motor mounts, the shocks needs to be replaced, the struts too, the airbag light came on and stays on, multiple problems with the car.. replaced the transmission before and the transmission needs to be replaced again. The car jiggles, waddle, the shock, struts, gets starts to worn out at 20,000 miles, at 50, 60, 70, 80,000 miles the car extremely unstable when driving on the highway. It feels so light, feels like its wheels will break or pull off to one side. Car is physically unstable and bounce way too much. The car motor mounts makes so much clicking noise, brakes terrible. Major car safety hazard. 90.000 miles currently car is not safe to drive due to transmission problems mechanic said and I cannot repair it. Please make Nissan refunded me my money & take full responsibility for their faulty car. Their is a current class action lawsuit against them for their faulty transmissions will stop working on the Nissan Versa and Sentra cars from 2013-2017 year models. And even if you replace the transmission it will fail after 30,000 miles. Please make Nissan pay for their fraudulent car parts that they made that is going to not work soon. For a month I also drove a 2019 Nissan Sentra rental brand new car at 1000 miles. At 5,000 -7,000 miles the car transmission makes so much noise. Nissan Sentra and verssa cars are not safe. Nissan needs to be punished extremely and severely for putting people's safety at risk..

12/5/2018 I replaced the transmission on the Nissan Versa 2015 at 37,000 miles. 2 months at 42,000 miles later car making noise not knowing what it is, after many car checks with auto mechanics. On September 2019 at 93,000 miles I received a post card about a class action lawsuit filed by Nissan owners against 2013-2017 Nissan Versa and Sentra cars ''cvt' transmissions not properly working to not working at all. I finally had the car checked and the Nissan only mechanic said my 2015 Nissan Versa is not safe to drive due to the transmission not working properly and it needs to be replaced for a third time at mossy Nissan houston, tx. Its extremely not fair. Nissan manufacture fail to provide 100% of repair cost and refuse to take full responsibility of the pain and suffering their terrible car transmission cause me. Many people and transmission repair shops knows Nissan transmissions are not good. You can replace a Nissan transmission today and the same year or next year you have to replace the transmission again. Its extremely not fair what Nissan manufacturer & dealership did. II replaced the first transmission at 37,000 miles in year 2 of owning my car, at 42,000 or 50,000 miles the transmission starts going bad. And year 3 at 93,000 I have to replaced again. That is a major highway safety hazard. The reason I did not have a major accident with this car I strongly believe, is because I prayed everyday when I start driving for jehovah god to protect me, not to have an accident, and not to kill anyone with this car. So every 30,000 miles or every year you have to replace the transmission on a Nissan Versa depending how much you drive for the year.. I had to deal with extreme stress been in the hospital 3 times. Please make money greedy Nissan pay for their deliberate fraud act. I don't drive the car because its unsafe to drive with a very bad transmission.

I bought this Versa brand new at the dealership. After a year from the purchase date the dealer went out of business and was bought out. The first year I had it I came in often with transmission problems, but was told it was nothing and to give it more gas when it acted like it was having troubles. Everytime I went for an oil change, even my first oil change, they would come back with 600 dollars worth of filters or the brake fluid needed to be changed. I quit going there for my car, because of the constant pressure to spend money on issues I wasnt having. They never wanted to look at the transmission or anything. Now after 65K the transmission has been replaced, my running taillights do not work, some unknown electrical issue, and the car just turns off on it's own with no warning. Before the tranny went out I was driving 70 mph down the interstate and the car shut off with no warning nearly causing an accident with a semi, the dealer does not want to fix that problem bc it can not replicated. That's their answer to any problem that's not expensive or quick. If it can not be replicated then your lying as I have been told. I was also told that all Versa's sold would need a new tranny after 40K. Now Nissan North America nor the dealer wants to pay for their mistakes. I need help getting this resolved soon.

Cvt transmission. Vehicle loses power. Transmission jerks and shutters for over a year now. Tachometer revs high. Suddenly loses speed on the highway and or city driving. Multiple stalls or attempts to stall especially while ac is running. Trips to the dealer who says nothing is wrong or "updated the transmission programming". 10/26 visit to the dealer finally shows cvt transmission in failure. Calls to Nissan resulted in being hung up on. Dealer is replacing cvt under warranty. Old has 48K miles. Afraid to drive this due to risk of accident or additional failures in traffic that may result in serious injuries.

Takata recall hello, I have a Nissan Versa 2015 model and have 55000 miles on its meter. I am having alot of problem with my car. I can feel all the gears changing while drive wether its on city or highway ( kind of feel like a sudden jerk in body). My engine oil is going bad at 3-4000 miles ( putting sythetic oil with gurantee 10-15000 mile). And if engine oil goes bad my car's pickup go less. It cant run over 15-20 mph. Happened with me twice, once in February 2018 when I had to tow my car and again happend on 25th April 2018 and I had to drive with emergency parking lights on to service center. My cars oil replacement sticker still shows 2000 miles more to run. And some mechanic said oil is all bad.after that I put an obd device in my car. And got some problem codes. Attaching image. Right now my car is in Nissan service center. And they didnt told me anything from last 3 days, that whats going on.

Appears to happen only when temperatures reach over 105' the car will shut off with no warning. The steering goes out with no control over the car when it suddenly stops running. This was on a city street. This happened last year and has started again this year as well. I have spoken with Nissan North America office and was told to put a higher octane gas but this has not helped. I have taken into the shop twice where they reset the ECM the second time was told it was vapor locking. I am very concerned due to the fact I drive with children in my car.
