The clutch on my 14 month old Nissan Versa Note with approx. 5000 miles burned out. Miller Nissan said it was as fault because of the way I drove. I say the clutch burned out because of a defect. While shifting on a drive on the Connecticut Turnpike, the rpm's suddenly increased to over 6000. The motor raced with a loud grinding noise. I smelled a burning odor in the cab. This lasted several minutes while I was on the Turnpike. I could smell the odor several days later. I took the car into Miller Nissan. They test drove the car. The driver experienced the same dangerous problem on I-95. They had to call for a tow back to the dealership. The said the damage would cost over $2000 to repair. They said I caused the damage. I did not want to pay for this repair because I did not want it to happen again. I traded the damaged car in and paid $8624.44 for a new automatic Versa Note. Because Miller Nissan did not honor the original warranty, I needed to sell the damaged Versa Note and buy a new car. I want to be compensated for my loss.
