Versa Note SV 1.6L 4-cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 8,000 miles

Less than 5 months after purchasing this vehicle with 11 miles on it and less than 10,000 miles when this problem began, I knew I wasted my money. Around that time, I started hearing a rattling noise coming from somewhere in between the transmission and the engine. When I went in for the car's first oil change I asked the service department at that Nissan Dealership to see if they could find out what was causing that noise and they were proud to tell me it would be $250 for inspection of the problem and that the problem itself probably won't be covered under warranty. I have tried at 2 other service appointments and one other Nissan dealer service department to have the problem solved and got the same story all 3 times and have since given up. The warranty expires in 2000 miles and this is my last attempt to have this corrected before I make up my mind and never buy another Nissan product.

Update from Nov 14, 2017: Note: this one only happens when at a stop and the engine has warmed up. Gets louder when the a/c kicks on to put the icing on the annoying cake.
